From 9 to 11 October the Anuga Fair 2017 was held in Cologne (Germany), one of the most important events in Europe and around the world regarding food and drink.
An inexcusable event to take the pulse of new trends, markets and products.
“Anyone who wants to have an idea of how the world will eat and drink today and in the future has come to the right place in Anuga,” said Friedhelm Dornseifer, president of the German Association of German Retail Trade (BVLH).
On this occasion he broke the record with over 7,400 exhibitors from 107 countries and around 165,000 professional visitors from 198 countries.
The innovations, which as always are a key focus of the Anuga Fair, contributed to providing the industry with new impulses and ideas. These trending topics include foods and beverages that are high in protein, new products from the demanded superfood (super foods) and numerous new ideas ready-to-go / ready-to-eat (ready to use / ready to eat).
Sustainable concepts, as well as organic (organic) products, are still in high demand, vegetarian and vegan issues were also an important focus. Alternative protein sources have been a topic of intense media discussion.
Among those visitors was a delegation from the Comeztier brand, always attentive to innovation and the cutting edge of food. We want to offer new products and new formats demanded by the Canarian society, and bring the new world trends closer to the archipelago.
The Anuga Fair has come to confirm the path that Comeztier has taken in recent years. On the one hand, the commitment to organic products (organic) through the new ECO line (in some cases also with superfood characteristics) with which the brand sells products such as quinoa (in different formats such as seeds, flours and flakes) ), chia, different types of seeds (flax, sesame, etc.), flour and coconut sugar … and more products that are in development.
On the other hand, other superfoods or new trends in food, such as birch sugar, soy lecithin with chia, etc. that can also be found in the lines with the Comeztier brand
And finally the innovation associated with Canarian culinary culture, such as the new Comeztier gofio snacks (with their flavors of dulce de leche, guava, banana, orange, lemon and strawberry), as well as the new oat and spelled gofios.
Comeztier continues working to surprise the consumer of the Canary Islands with products of high quality and added value, maintaining the leadership and balance between innovation and tradition.
